# idempotency_key_reused

**HTTP status:** 409 (Conflict)

**Title:** Idempotency key reused

## Cause

This `Idempotency-Key` was already used within the last 24 hours with a different method, path or body. A key identifies one request: the same key must always carry the same request. It also answers when the response stored for the key was erased because it held personal data of a person who was suppressed: send the request again with a new key.

## How to fix it

Send a new Idempotency-Key for this request. Reuse a key only to retry the exact same request.

Set the parameter named below and send the request again.

Parameter: `Idempotency-Key`

Every error carries `requestId` and the `Request-Id` header. Send it when you write to support.
