# agent_not_ready

**HTTP status:** 422 (Unprocessable)

**Title:** Agent not ready

## Cause

The agent cannot be turned on yet because it lacks something required: instructions or a model. The `detail` lists what is missing and `param` names the first field.

## How to fix it

Activate the agent. If it lacks instructions or a model, the answer lists what to set on the agent.

Call the endpoint named below first, then send the request again.

Endpoint: `POST /v2/agents/{id}/activate`

Every error carries `requestId` and the `Request-Id` header. Send it when you write to support.
